Eye of the Storm

Eye of the Storm

Over, down in the air was a man. Tall, adventures and a little worried because he just witnessed a green light through his telescope that flickered in the darkness! It looked like some sort of portal to another world or universe or something and there was only one way to find out. The masked Man planed he path towards the green light. His latest invention was the Jetter 3000 that could take 3000 miles before filling up again. He picked up a glass bottle with a green liquid in it.

The green bottle lit up as if it had a heart and feelings mixed in with it. He through it in and he was soon on his way. He also through some of his belongings in it like a book and a box also a long metal stick. He opend a black box with a gold pattern on it. It shined as if it was more treasure or something though it turned out to be a heavy  piece of a green orb that he put in his pocket for later.

A lucky charm or jewel can come in handy. It went down through the clouds and crashed. He looked up, he saw some lightning up ahead and a tear released from his mask. He went faster and faster through lightning and rain and as he got closer to the portal, he turned around and picked up a key and set the dragon free so he wouldn’t get hurt or even killed!

He checked hi compass, it pointed west towards the portal and there was no going back now! He flipped a lever to full speed and he was soaring at an insane speed that was faster than the speed of sound. He went and sat in his metal chair in his lab with pipes that kind of acted like a heater for him. Steam rose as he went faster, the place rusted more as his destiny awaited him.

The Eye Of The Storm

As I marched into The Sparrow (that’s the name of my ship) I was confident that I would get through the green sparkling portal. I started her up and the engine made a grumbling sound which was quite peculiar! The red skies, the orange lighting and blue clouds seemed to go on forever. I wondered whether I would make it through the portal. Could I actually make it? I had always thought that if I was to go back I would be considered a cowered but if a carried on I would be considered a hero.

As I crept slowly into the dark, black and shadowy furnace room I could smell the thick smoke coming up my nostrils. I put all my steel in the furnace so that I could then drop my belongings down the green shining portal to another dimension. As I did this I felt like nothing mattered but this life changing journey!

While I was coming out the furnace room I stumbled upon a black rusting key. I tried it in all the locks on The Sparrow then I remembered that I locked my dragon up on the ship and I could free it now. So I found him, and tried the key in the padlock and he was now free! He spread his wings; he prepared to fly into the endless ocean of red clouds. Minute by minute, hour by hour I became closer to the green shimmering hole in the sky. I am never scared but this time I found myself chewing of my fingernails I’m so scared that my toes might even next!

The time has now come I said to myself. I was just about to sail into another dimension, now the lightning was lighter, the wind was windier, and the darkness was darker, when suddenly out of nowhere……

Eye of the Storm

Dear Diary,

I have finally made a scientific breakthrough! Today I was looking through my brass telescope on my trusty airship The Mist Maker (I made it myself) when a flash of mysterious green light appeared in the faraway clouds! I walked down the bridge passing my dragon, petted him and went to the furnace. I grasped carefully a glass bottle with a green liquid inside, and threw it into the furnace. That turned the flames green, and reminded me of when a gang burned my house down. I had sworn for revenge…

I turned around and grabbed some books and a glass bottle and threw them in because they were items of indeterminate purpose. I found a book that I had not thrown in the furnace, and I opened it only to find it was an evil book! I closed it slowly and made my way to the bridge. That reminded me of the time I first learned to walk and walked down my house corridor. When I got to the bridge I dropped it off the bridge for someone to find and destroy. I gazed off into the clouds and saw bolts of lightning. I was getting close.

In was steering madly as the rain thundered down on The Mist Maker trying hard to see where I was going I managed to steer clear of obstacles as I pushed forward. When the storm had calmed down a bit I realised that the eye of the storm was nigh. I found a key lying on the floor; I knew what it was for and set my dragon free. I began to set all the gears on full power, overworking the engine. I walked down the corridor knowing I would save the world from the storm. I got in my chair it turned and I waited for my impending doom as I entered the eye of the storm.

Eye of the storm

One gloomy morning , just looking out of my telescope ,it was a storm, a dark and damp storm , it was coming my way. I just held back and went for it. I went into my lab I discovered that if I chucked the things I don’t need it would get me further than I am now , so I chucked some paper and some other things then I came across a box of family photos.

I was walking down my walk way and I found a key to let my dragon go dint really no if I should or not I thurt  to my self  I will so I went over to the lock for the key and opened it and it flew away to the big green hole.

When I set my dragon free I went into the enjen room and put the ship onto full speed I know I cant stop but I just want it to end. When it dos stop I will no even be able to live.

When I shurted the speed out I went and walked for a bit because I know that it was going to be the last thing I do when I got back from my walk I sat back and whated for it.

Eye of the Storm By Tayahna

The mystery man had just appeared a round the corner. He was wearing, from what I could see, rags. He had found lots of old cogs. He felt quiet sad and he sounded like he was very upset and could not be bothered. The man had a mask  on with huge goggles too.

The lonely stranger  reached down ,and petted his dragon. Although the dragon had green eyes he was still friendly to him. He found out that he was so powerful. As well his wing were really made out  of  material. It looked as if the person was the dragons friend.

The travel’s dragon was magical we found out that he had green eyes because he was so clever. After that the heroic man found a caldera so he decided to throw the magic green potion into the big pot, it fizzed and the bubbles were going every where.

Eye of the Storm

I can’t stop thinking about them, but there is no alternative. It has to be done. Risky. There’s no other way to describe it. I discovered that I’m doing it for the world. They are all depending on me. Their lives are in my hands. My emotions are unexplainable. It is a mixture of sadness and feebleness. The little flame of hope inside me has been put out because I know that I am never going to do it.

Suddenly, the ship started juddering. I traipsed over to the cargo stash, and started throwing the heavy objects out. Fumbling in my pocket, I finally found Growler’s rusty key for his chain. I unlocked him, and he looked at me with eyes as big as beach balls. I nodded at him. Fighting back tears, I watched my beloved dragon fly away, getting smaller with each flap of his wings until he was no more than a small speck in the distance. When he was out of sight, I set my face.

I began to think back to when I got Growler as a dragon-ling. His big puppy dog eyes, his little tiny body. There was no dragon on earth grander than him. He was an amazing traveling companion, and I couldn’t go on a journey without his company. I will never forget him, but I must move on.

All my plans have just crashed and burned. The weather is outrageous, and I can’t find the portal. My voyage has lasted for nine months, instead of five. Food is running out and my fuel tank is dangerously low. There must be something to burn somewhere? Looking around, I saw a pile of old cardboard and wood. Without hesitation, I seized a load of it and chucked it into the furnace. It reacted most dramatically, effervescing and sweltering turning it into charcoal. That should keep it going, I thought.

Outside, the weather was getting worse. My scarf (which was all ragged and tatty) blew in the wind, slapping against my face, causing it to sting. Rubbernecking into the sky, I could see a small green light was gradually nearing. Never! I thought. The stimulus of hope inside me started to ignite again. Adjusting my goggles, I realised that it was the portal! Rushing to the gauges, I reeled them up to full; I knew my ship could handle it.

When my ship was in the right position, I started to relax a little. I started to feel courage and determination. Despite all the smoke, my throat was clearing, and the lump that used to be there had vanished. Smiling to myself, I sat back into my chair and just waited.
